The "Future" has arrived with the complete replacement of celluloid balls by plastic balls.
Improved production has provided three distinct advantages in comparison:
- No delivery problems with plastic balls.
- The quality of plastic balls is on par with celluloid balls, although they play differently.
- Plastic balls are available at a cheaper price than celluloid balls.
- ITTF approved for official competitions.
