Pro Tips & FAQs

Joma’s rackets include features such as EVA Soft and EVA Pro cores, which affect how the racket responds (softer feel vs. more power). They also use FlexShield for durability, EXO COUNTER frames (100% carbon) to stabilize and enhance power, and VIBRA OUT to reduce vibration.

A diamond-shape / high balance gives more power but is less forgiving
A round or teardrop / lower balance gives easier control and better maneuverability

Grip pattern: Herringbone or sand-friendly soles for artificial grass or courts with sand, or mondo surfaces require all-court style soles.

Lateral support / stability: Important for padding and structure around the midfoot and heel to avoid ankle injury during side-to-side movements.

Fit & size: Snug but comfortable. Enough toe room (about thumb’s width at front), good heel hold, not too loose or tight.

If you play around once a week and take good care of it (avoid extreme heat, store it dry, use a frame protector), a beginner-level racket can last 3-4 years. For more frequent players (3-4 times a week) or aggressive playing styles, expect racket performance (power, response) to start declining after 8-12 months.

Joma’s padel shoes often include these elements:

A rubber outsole with herringbone or mixed-pattern tread for good grip on sand and artificial padel surfaces.
Total Padel

“REACTIVE BALL” cushioning systems and dual-density midsoles for shock absorption during lateral moves and jumps.

Reinforced toe caps or overlays to resist abrasion from dragging toes during reaches or slides.

To extend the life and performance of your racket:

Use a frame protector to reduce damage from wall impacts.

Keep it out of very hot or cold places (e.g. car trunk in sun, wet or freezing conditions), to avoid damage to the rubber or core.

Replace the grip regularly, especially if it becomes slippery. A good grip improves control and reduces slippage which can lead to micro-damage.
